The constant multi-stage procedure:
Controlled ovarian stimulation
It is done with the purpose of maturing eggs that will later be removed.
Through the injection of sperm into the ovule with the ICSI technique (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) achieving fertilization.
Embryonic Development Monitoring
The maximum development of 6 days is monitored, to choose the best quality embryos and forecast to transfer.
Other tools can be used within the FIV-ICSI procedure:
PRE-IMPLANTATION GENETIC DIAGNOSIS
The performance of this study is recommended in patients older than 35 years, carriers of genetic disease or couples who want sex selection. This study is achieved through an embryonic biopsy that analyzes the presence of aneuploidies on specific chromosomes through the FISH technique and also allows to know the sex of the embryo.
ENDOMETRIAL RECEPTIBILITY TEST
Recommended tool for patients with failed attempts to achieve pregnancy, in which, by means of an endometrial biopsy, it allows us to know the implantation advantage with greater precision and thus increase the probability of pregnancy by transferring the embryos within that period.
